GKB Sandfiller – Combining scarifying, removal & sand-filling

The GKB Sandfiller is designed to tackle the problem of surface drainage and aeration on sports turf and golf courses, especially on greens. The true multi-tasker, the Sandfiller scarifies and simultaneously backfills with sand, or a combination of sand or seed, in a single pass. Delivering the perfect conditions for excellent root growth and optimal plant health, the Sandfiller can be operated by one person, where other similar methods require multiple people.

How does the Sandfiller work?

1. First, a rotor with scarifying blades creates slits of 2-4mm (0.07-0.15”) and to depths of up to 40mm (1.5”).

2. The material is extracted by the wind vanes into the collection hopper.

3. The machine accurately fills the slots with sand, by means of a broad hydraulically powered sand conveyer belt and the stainless-steel sand fill unit.

4. Finally, two oscillating rollers press down on the turf.

5. Once the operation is complete, the surface will available for use again almost instantly.

The versatility of the GKB Sandfiller means it can be used for multiple maintenance tasks across the year. If you want to scarify and collect the milled material, you can, without filling up the sand hopper. Or optimize conditions for germination by incorporating seed into the sand hopper to deliver the combination down into the channels. The true one-pass machine saves labour, cost and time.
